I became the development team leader in the 5th year
I thought the 5th year developer was great, but I became the 5th year developer.
Besides, I am the team leader.
In fact, I have worked as a freelancer for a long time and then started a startup at the recommendation of someone I knew while working.
I became a team leader not because I have good skills or experience, but because I am the first developer of the company.
For the first year, I just worked hard day and night.
Above all, it was fun and good to work while communicating with users and I was solo…
After some time, I hired developer and worked hard day and night together.
Having a team member made me feel pressured to play a role as a team leader. But when I compared myself with the other team leaders, I was far from perfect.
So I was desperate for my growth.
The next year, I had a lot of worries about me and together.
I think most startup developers will do that, but I had to know and work in a lot of different fields. I had to do apps and AI/ML while doing web service. So schedule management was important to me.
And there were many worries about working together.
At that time, I told my team members that I trust you and thank you for doing your job well, but it wasn’t the team leader’s role.
When I think about that, I wonder what if would have been like to have a lot of honest talks with the members.
